There were no injuries during a fire in Bassett on Tuesday, however two people were displaced. According to the Bassett Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded to the 3500 block of Columbus Drive at 4:15 pm for a report of a house fire.

The home was considered to be a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall’s Office. The two occupants of the home are being assisted by the Red Cross.
