Average gas prices across Virginia climbed by 12 cents this week to $3.07 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is up by six cents to $3.12 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville jumped up by eight cents to $2.87, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by six cents this week to $2.89 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price climbed by eight cents to $2.95 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is up by seven cents to $2.95. Prices in Halifax County jumped by 14 cents this week to $3.12 a gallon.
