A Nathalie man was killed in a crash in Halifax County on Monday. According to Virginia State Police, the single-vehicle crash occurred at 1:18 pm on Hog Wallow Road in Halifax County.

A 2004 Volkswagen Passat was heading eastbound on Hog Wallow Road, a mile-and-a-half east of Route 501, when the Passat drove off of the left side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, 59-year-old Charles H. Morse, of Nathalie, Va., died at the scene.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
