Average gas prices across Virginia remained the same this week at $2.88 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a penny for the second week in a row to $3.07 a gallon, according to AAA.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by two cents this week to $2.73, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is also down by two cents to $2.83 a gallon.

In Martinsville the average price dropped by four cents to $2.71 a gallon and in Henry County the average price is down by three cents to $2.71. Prices in Halifax County fell by a nickel for the second week in a row to $2.82 a gallon.
