(Danville, VA) More information has come out regarding a teenager who was shot Saturday evening.  Preliminary investigations by the Danville Police Department have concluded that the teen was riding around with other teens and were throwing eggs at vehicles in the Nor-Dan area.

It appears one of the vehicles that was struck was occupied and that vehicle gave chase and one of its occupants opened fire on the teenagers.  The victim was struck in the torso and the group was on route to SOVAH Health when the vehicle they were traveling in crashed on the northern end of Union Street bridge where they were met by first responders who transported the shooting victim the rest of the way to the hospital.

The teen was treated and released from the hospital and authorities are searching for a dark grey or black 4 door vehicle presumably either a Nissan or Kia.  Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or reach out to Danville Crime Stoppers at (434) 799-6508.  The investigation is ongoing.
