(Danville, Va.) – A Danville woman has been charged with making a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of the Wendy’s on Piney Forest Road Tuesday night.

34-year-old Quintara Rachelle Kirby has been arrested and charged with making a bomb threat. Kirby allegedly mentioned an explosive device and shooting people at the end of the shift.

The threat was made shortly before 7 p.m., promoting the restaurant’s general manager to clear the fast food restaurant. Employees and diners evacuated the building and were kept out of the eatery for more than three hours as the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office K-9 bomb team searched the premises.

No explosive device was found.
