(Danville, Va.) — Two men charged with a murder that happened in Danville in December 2017 are set to stand trial Monday.

Dashaun Lamar Trent and Tredarius Keene both face first-degree murder charges in the shooting death of Antwan Tucker, Jr.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested the 22-year-old Keene the following February in Bluefield, West Virginia.

Tucker died of a gunshot wound to the head. Danville Police received a call of shots fired on Ross Street just before 11:00 on the night of Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 and found Tucker in the emergency room of SOVAH Heath Danville. He was transferred to Roanoke Carillion Hospital, where he died the following morning.

K’Darius Taequan West was charged with three counts of attempted malicious wounding in the homicide. He entered a guilty plea in October and was sentenced to 27 years in prison.
