(HENRY COUNTY, VA) — A North Carolina man will spend 40 years in prison for the murder of an Axton resident.
Henry County Circuit Court Judge David Williams sentenced Jake Andrew Lewis Wednesday. Lewis entered a guilty plea to a first-degree murder charge in February.
Lewis admitted to shooting Eric Adams multiple times at his home on Keen Drive on February 17, 2018.
Deputies found his body on the floor after responding to a 911 call. He died of multiple gunshot wounds in what prosecutors say was a plan by Lewis and three others to rob Adams of electronic equipment.
