PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — The woman who struck two teenagers in Blairs earlier this week may have been a distracted driver.

Virginia State Police say a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were walking beside the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle traveling north on Business 29 near Livestock Road Tuesday afternoon. Both of the boys were taken to Sovah Health Danville, where they are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The investigation conducted by the Virginia State Police found that the teens were not in the roadway when they were hit, and that the driver may have been distracted.

No charges have been filed at this time and state police have not identified the driver or the accident victims. The investigation continues.
