EDEN, N.C. — Eden Police say a man was critically wounded as he walked along a city street Sunday.

20-year-old Jonathan Paez Rubio of Eden, was near First Street and Cedar Street just before 3 p.m. when he suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was flown to a trauma center in critical condition.

Police arrested 20-year-old Sykolian Tinsley of Eden and charged him with one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Tinsley is being held in the Rockingham County Jail without bond.
