SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – A South Boston woman was airlifted from the scene of a Sunday shooting.
According to the South Boston Police Department, officers responded to a call received of shots fired at around 7:50 pm to the 600 block of Easley Street. A 41-year-old woman was found with an apparent gunshot wound to her leg and was transported to Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
Acting on a description provided of the suspect’s vehicle, a match was located in South Boston in the 1800 block of Vaughan Street. A search warrant was obtained for both the location and the vehicles found there.
South Boston Police seized several firearms and other evidence but have yet to make an arrest in the shooting.
