QUANTICO, Va. – A longtime Danville police officer has graduated from the FBI’s National Academy.
Police Major Timothy W. Jones becomes only the 16th Danville Police officer graduate from the academy since its inception in 1935.
Jones completed the ten-week academy, held at Quantico, Va. Members of law enforcement agencies from 34 countries, five military organizations, and nine federal civilian organizations were also a part of his graduating class.
The National Academy is internationally known for its academic excellence.
Jones will resume his position as the Services Division Major in Danville.
