FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – A man wanted for questioning in a Franklin County homicide has been jailed on unrelated charges.

Patrick Antoine Davis is being held on an outstanding warrant in another case. He is one of two men listed as “persons of interest” in the death of Travis Pannell, whose body was found alongside Jubal Early Highway on October 24. Police say Pannell was last seen getting into a car after being dropped off at a party at Davis’ home in Roanoke on October 4.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, Pannell died of gunshot wounds. The  clothes that Pannell was wearing on October 4 matched the clothes on the body that was found three weeks later.

A second person sought for questioning in the death is not identified in police warrants.
