PROVIDENCE, N.C. – Caswell County authorities have made an arrest in a homicide that happened just across the state line.

According to a sheriff’s spokesman, the fatal shooting happened just outside Danville at Lucky’s, a nightspot located on Route 86 in Providence, N.C. The victim’s name has not been released.

A news release from the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened early Wednesday morning.

A suspect is in custody, according to  Maj. D. McLean, with the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.
