DANVILLE, Va. – The collection and customer service offices at the Charles H. Harris Financial Service Center will be closed to the public until further notice.

Staff will address customer account needs by email or phone and take payments at the drive-thru window and the dropbox. Customers paying by cash must use the drive-thru because cash is not accepted in the dropbox.

Customers also have the options of online payment and payment by mail.

The lobby of the building will remain open during regular working hours to allow customers access to the ATM and credit card kiosk.

Danville has suspended utility disconnections for non-payment. Also, the city has suspended the $50 delinquent account charge assessed when a utility bill is more than 35 days past due. Customers are urged to keep their accounts as current as possible during this time to prevent hardships once disconnections resume for non-payment.
