PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – Search crews have located the body of a second drowning victim following a weekend boating accident in Pittsylvania County.
While the boat capsized Sunday night, the second body wasn’t recovered until just before 5:00 Monday afternoon.
The victim has been identified by family as Rosevelt Fuller, a Danville man in his 50s. Dive teams located the body of Willie Terry, a Danville resident in his 70s, on Sunday. The sheriff’s office used sonar scanning to find Fuller’s body.
The two were fishing in a jon boat on a private pond in the 1400 block of Dodson Road when the boat capsized on Sunday. Authorities believe that the boat turned over as Fuller and Terry were moving around and do not suspect foul play.
Both bodies have been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
