Tropical Storm Arthur has moved out to sea but heavy rains could bring flooding to our area.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for the region through Thursday morning. Watches have been issued for areas along the southern Blue Ridge, including the counties of Floyd, Botetourt, Roanoke, Bedford, Franklin, Pittsylvania, Henry, Carroll, Grayson, Patrick and the city of Galax.

2-to-4 inch totals are possible in the area, with the potential for heavy downpours.
