HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police are looking for the person who shot a motorist on Memorial Day.
State Police, Halifax County Sheriff’s deputies and South Boston Police all responded to a report of a vehicle being shot at on Sinai Road at about 2 a.m. Monday. On arrival, officers found a black, 1999 BMW crashed against an embankment off the right side of the road.
The car had been struck several times and the driver – a 20-year-old South Boston man – was wounded. He was transported to Halifax Sentara Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound and has since been released.
Investigators say the driver of a gray, four-door sedan pulled up alongside the BMW and shots were fired.
