PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – The driver of a logging truck that overturned on U.S. 29 Thursday morning has been freed from the cab and is being treated for injuries.
The accident happened at the intersection of Dry Fork Road and Snakepath Road and blocked southbound Highway 29 completely. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane and state police are rerouting traffic as crews work to remove logs from the highway.
Crews were able to free the driver, who was pinned in following the single-vehicle accident. He is said to have suffered serious injuries in the wreck.
