HENRY COUNTY, Va. – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Ridgeway man for a Monday morning robbery in Bassett.

25-year-old Geno Clark is charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon.

Deputies were called shortly before 7 a.m. Monday about a robbery in a Virginia Avenue parking lot. The victim told deputies the robber approached his car and pulled a handgun, ordering the man to hand over all of his money. He gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled on foot.

Deputies identified Clark as the suspect and found him walking several blocks from the crime scene. He was arrested and is being held in the Martinsville Jail, without bond.
