DANVILLE, Va. – One Danville man has been arrested in a murder that happened last year while another is being sought in the homicide.
Guren L. Clemons and Domonic D. Fitzgerald were indicted last month on first-degree murder, robbery and related firearms charges in the 2019 shooting death of 25-year-old Caleb Henry Morris.
Danville Police responded on May 24, 2019 to a call for a person who had been shot in the 1000 block of Lanier Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Morris inside a house suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clemons, 25, was jailed on unrelated charges in Charlotte County when he was served with the indictments. He is currently being held in the Danville City Jail without bond.
Fitzgerald, 29, remains at large. Both are Danville residents.
Danville Police ask that anyone with information on Fitzgerald’s location call 911 or Danville Crime Stoppers at 434-793-0000.
