DANVILLE, Va. – Police have named a suspect in the recent theft of a number of catalytic converters that have been removed from cars in Danville.
Warrants have been obtained or the arrest of Daniel R. Solis of Danville.
Solis, 39, faces two counts of grand larceny, trespassing and unlawfully entering a vehicle in connection with the string of recent catalytic converter thefts. Solis is also wanted out of Boydton, Va. for violating a court order.
He has not been arrested and authorities are asking anyone with information on his location to contact police.
More charges may be forthcoming as the investigation continues. In the meantime, investigators are working with surrounding jurisdictions to see if he is connected to any additional thefts.
