ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. – Another body has been recovered from the Dan River after a tubing accident involving nine people.

At about 10 a.m. Sunday, someone spotted the body in the river near the Draper Landing and called 911, according to the Rockingham County Department of Emergency Services. Emergency responders recovered the body, which authorities later identified as that of 7-year-old Isiah Crawford of Eden.

An Eden woman, 35-year-old Teresa Villano, remains missing.

Nine people, all related, were involved in the accident at a dam near the Duke Energy Steam Station. Four people are now confirmed dead the accident is being called the worst recreational disaster in the county.

Officials announced on Saturday that they had concluded search and rescue efforts for the two remaining victims. They said they felt confident they had exhausted all efforts to rescue, or recover, the two victims.
