UPDATE: The two homicide victims in Eden. N.C. have been identified:

Alexander “Alex” Michael Grubbs , 29 of 160 Dan River Church Rd. Eden, N.C.

Jordan Lee Gwynn, 27 of 160 Dan River Church Rd. Eden, N.C.

Both were shot and killed while sitting on the porch of a home on Dan River Church Road in Eden around 10 p.m. Sunday. A third victim remains hospitalized in critical condition. Shots were fired from the woodline alongside the house and investigators believe these were targeted homicides. No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

EDEN, N.C. – Rockingham County authorities are investigating a shooting that left two people dead and a third wounded

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 160 Dan River Church Rd. in Eden, just before 10 p.m. Sunday and found three  individuals on the porch  of the home suffering from  gunshot wounds. Two were dead and and the third was transported to an area hospital for treatment. That individual is listed in critical condition.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time pending notification of the next of kin.

Rockingham County Sheriff’s Investigators believe the three victims were on the porch of the house around 9:50 p.m. when a suspect or suspects began firing from the woodline adjacent to the home.

Investigators do not believe this was a random act.
