DANVILLE, Va. – Police are looking for the man who robbed two Danville businesses over the weekend.

The first robbery happened just before 9:30 Sunday night at the Food Lion on South Boston Road.

While police were investigating the supermarket hold-up, a second robbery was reported at the Fas Mart convenience store on South Main Street. That happened ten  minutes after the first incident. Investigators believe the same man was responsible for both robberies and changed clothes between locations.

In both instances the gunman displayed a handgun and left with money from the the cashier.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen driving south on Highway 86 into North Carolina.
