SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – South Boston Police are looking for a man wanted on an attempted murder charge.

James Kevin Hobbs, 51, is wanted in connection with an incident that happened Friday in the Lincoln Drive-Westside area of South Boston.

Investigators released few details but said Hobbs is charged with attempted murder in the 2nd degree, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a violent felon, preventing communication to 911, reckless handling of a firearm, assault on a family member and petit larceny.

He should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately.
