RINGGOLD, Va. – A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot and killed a 16-year outside the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fairgrounds late Saturday.
Fair officials are offering a $5,000 reward in connection with the death on September 18. That’s in addition to the $5,000 reward offered initially by Pittsylvania County Crime Stoppers.
The fair was packed when Joshua Rone was shot and killed in the parking lot around 11:45 p.m. Saturday. Investigators say the shooting followed a fight between two minors.
No suspect information has been given.
Anyone with information on the homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-791-0044. You may remain anonymous.
