HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A Bassett man is being sought on narcotics charges after authorities seized nearly a half-million dollars and a quantity of drugs.
Police made the recovery on December 1 after raiding a home on Blossom Street in Bassett. But there was no sign of 48-year-old Timothy Edward Ross, the man investigators say was responsible for distributing the drugs. He is wanted on one count of distribution of more than 100 grams of methamphetamine.
A small quantity of cocaine, several pounds of marijuana and about one pound of methamphetamine with a total estimated street value of $10,000 was discovered inside the home. Investigators also seized five vehicles, 18 firearms and $465,207 in cash.
Ross is described by police as a Black male, 6’2” and 260 pounds.
Anyone with information on Ross’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Department.
