PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – A $2,500 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in an animal cruelty case.
Animal Control Officers from Pittsylvania County are asking for the public’s help to find those responsible for a dog’s throat being cut in late November.
On Nov. 28, the owner of “Niko,” an Akita mixed-breed dog, found that the animal had been injured. It’s believed the dog was attacked near the home on Rocky Knoll Lane in the Berry Hill community. The dog survived its wounds after receiving immediate veterinary care.
