DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the car involved in a drive-by shooting on Ruskin Street early Saturday.
At about 8:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Ruskin Street in reference shots being fired. Police located shell casings and a scene “consistent with a shooting incident having occurred.” Police canvassed the neighborhood, but no victim was found. Follow-up with medical facilities also did not turn up any shooting victim.
The investigation continued in the area of the 200 block of Ruskin Street where surveillance video captured the shooting. Officers were able to determine a white Nissan sedan passed by a black male walking along the street. Unknown assailants fired from inside the car as the male fled on foot. The vehicle has not been located.
The Danville Police Department is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the car and anyone with information, including witnesses or victims.
