A downed tree and power lines caused a grass fire on Memorial Drive – causing the street to be closed from Primrose Place to Park Avenue. Detours are currently in place.

Danville Utilities has about 1,000 customers without power in south Danville. Crews are responding. The outage is due to wind gusts that led to a feeder circuit going offline.  The Danville area is under a wind advisory.
