You can’t miss the fact now that gas prices are pretty volatile. Last week’s drop was brief, and now prices in many areas are climbing again. In fact, statewide in Virginia over just the past week, AAA says fuel costs increased about 2 cents a gallon. Nationwide, the average price has held steady, but it’s still a lot higher than it was until only recently. Locally, AAA reported the average price of a gallon of gas in Danville as of Wednesday morning was $4, and that’s about 9 cents less than the week before. AAA says there’s no telling what’s next though.
