A $50,000 grant is awarded to Pittsylvania County Schools for its Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Academy. According to the Star-Tribune the funding came from NextEra Energy Inc. which received a grant application from the division. It will be used to purchase Chromebook tablets, Arduino computer programming kits and other technology items plus a vehicle to transport everything between schools.
