The new president of the Institute For Advanced Learning and Research won’t need time to get acclimated to the area. He’s Telly Tucker, Danville’s former economic development director. After leaving Danville Tucker became Director of Arlington Economic Development for Arlington County. IALR’s new President position was created after a seven-month strategic planning process indicated the need for expanded executive leadership due to extensive growth in the institute’s activity level, as well as strategic succession planning.
