A soccer coach at a Mayodan high school is facing charges after a Rockingham County Sheriff’s investigation determined he sent inapproriate text messages to a student. School officials say they contacted the Sheriff’s office on Monday after they were notified of the incident. The coach is charged with a felony count of indecent liberties with a student. He turned himself in on Tuesday and was booked into jail on a $30,000 bond.
