The rumors of the Danville Mall being sold are not true. That’s according to Hull Properties vice-president John Mulherin who tells the Star-Tribune the company does have an announcement planned soon but it does not involve Caesars Virginia. The casino’s location is restricted to the Schoolfield area based on the referendum passed by voters in 2020. The casino is expected to now open in 2024.
