A Rockingham County police standoff on Saturday ends with a man taken into custody. According to WGHP police were called to a NC-87 address on a report a man poured gasoline on himself and was threatening to shoot anyone that came into contact with him. The man was firing shots into the ground and initially refused to surrender but eventually gave up. No one was hurt and the man was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
