Martinsville Police are searching for a stabbing suspect that’s on the run. 33-year-old Kasey Shane Blake is suspected of stabbing two people during a domestic altercation.

The first victim, a man, suffered a serious stab wound and tried to drive himself to the hospital but ended up stopping his car. Martinsville Fire & EMS treated him before he was flown to Carilion Roanoke, where he is now in stable condition.

The second victim, a woman, suffered minor injuries in the altercation. The incident occurred around 5 pm on Thursday.

Blake fled from the scene on foot before police arrived and is wanted for two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Martinsville Police Department at 276-226-0218.
