Multiple fire crews responded to a house fire on Samuel Rd. at around 12 am on Friday. According to the Pittsylvania County 911 Center, there were no injuries to the two occupants of the home.
The fire started in an upstairs bedroom and the cause has been ruled an accident. The bedroom that the fire started in sustained extensive fire damage and the rest of the upstairs had extensive smoke damage.
The two occupants of the home have gone to stay with family for the time being.
