A plane that went missing on Monday was found on Tuesday morning by search crews. The pilot reportedly died in the crash. The pilot has been identified as Galax resident, Caleb Glick, according to the Galax Gazette.

The plane was found at 11:35 am in Carroll County near Hillsville. The crash occurred in a wooded area near the 600 block of Little Bit Rd.

A plane has gone missing after taking off from Hillsville-Twin County Airport on Monday Afternoon. Virginia State Police are now searching for the plane that was supposed to arrive at Burlington Alamance Airport in North Carolina on Monday.

Crews have been focusing their search efforts in Patrick County and Carroll County and have been searching by both land and air.
