The City of Danville is creating a Cultural Arts Master Plan. Through research and input from the community, the Cultural Arts Master Plan will examine the existing arts, culture, and historic resources, as well as actions needed to enhance these resources.
The Plan will develop recommendations on how to build Danville’s identity and create a path towards becoming a regional destination for arts and culture. The plan will also use input from the community through a survey that you can take here.
The plan also will:
- Evaluate existing arts resources in Danville and the surrounding region and provide recommendations for continual evaluation of these resources.
- Provide recommendations for public art, arts facilities, and broad arts and culture programming.
- Include well-defined steps and processes to make Danville a City with a notable presence of the arts.
The plan will advance cultural diversity, increase opportunities to create and consume culture, and provide vibrant remarkable experiences for all residents and visitors.
The plan will be implemented in five different phases. The final review and recommendation is expected to be delivered in November or December of 2023.
