A man has been arrested after a shooting in Halifax County early Sunday morning. The Halfiax County Sheriff’s Office received the call of a possible shooting at 12:50 am. 

When authorities arrived on scene they found a woman on the side of Oak Level Road suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was transported to the hospital, her identity and condition are unknown at this time.

The person who found the woman also notified authorities that he saw a person leave the front porch of the home and go into the woods. Authorities then located a man hiding in a creek. 51-year-old Rueben Glass was arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder.

Glass had a handgun in his possession, but was arrested without incident. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
