The Henry County School Board has appointed a new superintendent. At a special called meeting on Thursday night the school board named Dr. Amy Blake-Lewis as the new superintendent.

Blake-Lewis has worked in education for more than 20 years and is currently the deputy superintendent of Stanley County Schools in North Carolina. She has also previously served as a teacher and principal.
