The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person. 71-year-old Paul Douglas Poole was last seen leaving his residence on Virgie Cole Road on June 14 at approximately 1:00 am.

Poole was operating a 2015 Red Honda Goldwing Trike bearing Virginia registration 308Q. Poole stated that he was on the way to meet his bike club in Lynchburg.

Poole made contact with a family member later that day at approximately 2:00 pm asking for directions and stated that he thought he was in the town of Bedford which was confirmed through the Life 360 tracking app. Poole’s phone battery has since lost charge and authorities are unable to continue tracking his movements.

Poole has an extensive medical history and early onset dementia. Poole is described as a white male. 71 years of age. Approximately 6’0, 178 pounds, blue eyes and brown hair.
