A Henry County man stabbed his father to death and then killed himself on Sunday. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:14 pm the 911 center received a call from 264 Sharon Dr. in Axton. Upon arrival, Henry County deputies located two deceased males inside the residence. The two men were identified as Roger McGuire, 69 (father), and Luke McGuire, 31 (son).

The preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation took place between Roger and Luke McGuire. It was determined that Luke McGuire stabbed his father, Roger McGuire, multiple times. Luke McGuire then gained access to a firearm and took his own life.
