One person drowned at a marina at Smith Mountain Lake on Monday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, one adult drowned at around 12 pm near Crazy Horse Marina.

The victim was later identified as 25-year-old Jerson Martinez of Roanoke. An investigation will remain active until the autopsy results are revealed. According to the sheriff’s office the drowning doesn’t appear to be suspicious at this time.
