Two men in Rockingham County have been arrested for drug and gun charges. On Tuesday, Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives, in collaboration with Reidsville Police Department Narcotics Detectives, were investigating suspected drug trafficking in the Reidsville area.
During the investigation, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle. Initially, the suspects’ vehicle refused to stop, trying to elude until eventually stopping in the driveway of a residence on Vance St. in Reidsville.
William Tyrone Moore was found to be driving the vehicle, and Cameron Martin was found to be a passenger.
As a result of this investigation, detectives seized marijuana, an AR-15-style pistol, cash, one kilo of cocaine with an estimated street value of $50,000, and several grams of fentanyl.
Moore was charged with driving while his license was revoked, failing to yield for blue lights or siren, trafficking cocaine by possession, and trafficking cocaine by transportation. Moore was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $2,000,000. secured bond.
Martin was charged with trafficking fentanyl by possession, trafficking cocaine by possession, trafficking cocaine by transportation, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Martin was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $3,000,000. secured bond.
