The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire with entrapment on Tuesday night. Units responded to the fire at 1101 Adams St at 10:47 pm.
Upon arrival units found a single story residential structure with heavy fire coming through the roof on the rear of the structure. Crews tried to make entry to search for victims and extinguish the fire but were hampered due to the fact that the structure was being used for storage.
Firefighters quickly determined that the structure was unoccupied. Crews worked for several hours to extinguish and overhaul the fire. Five engines, one ladder truck, a safety officer, and one Battalion Chief responded. No injuries were reported, and damage to the structure was extensive.
