The Danville Police Department has made an arrest related to a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday, July 12, at Woodside Village Apartments located in the 1300 block of Piney Forest Rd.

Iunta Lavar Barksdale, 19, has been arrested and charged with attempted malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Barksdale is being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.

Around 12:30 a.m. on July 12, officers responded to Woodside Village for a shots fired call. One individual was found suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Two other individuals showed up separately from Woodside Village to SOVAH Health Danville with gunshot wounds.

This investigation is still ongoing.
