Average gas prices across Virginia dropped by six cents this week to $3.46 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country dropped by 11 cents to $3.70.

The average price of gas in Danville is down a nickel to $3.26, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is down by nine cents to $3.34. In Martinsville the average price dropped by seven cents to $3.41 and in Henry County the average is down a nickel to $3.40.

Average prices in Halifax County are down by two cents to $3.48 a gallon.
